At home euthanasia
Saying goodbye to your loved one surrounded by family at home is a beautiful gift. I am able to offer this essential service in a limited capacity. If I'm unavailable, please reach out to the wonderful veterinarians at Compassionate Pet Vet when you need them 7 days a week.
Telemedicine consultations are available for established patients.
Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine
Initial appointments may last an hour and involve a review of medical history, a TCVM questionnaire, and therapeutic recommendations. Typically, the first visit does not include an acupuncture appointment. Herbal therapies and supplements may be recommended as not all pets will receive acupuncture. Follow up appointments may last from 20-60 minutes depending on the severity of the condition. For chronic conditions, once weekly acupuncture treatments are recommended for 4 weeks to the best outcome. Some conditions may only require a few treatments, and the focus is more on alterations in diet and herbal therapy.
Food Therapy
Food is medicine! When there is illness, we take a close look at diet and nutrition, but we also take into consideration the pet's consitution and the energetics and medicinal aspects of the food. This approach may be as simple as choosing a more consititutionally appropriate commercially available diet or it may be as complex as designing a very specific home cooked balanced diet for a pet with chornic illness as a means of healing with food.
House calls
Some pets are too nervous or too debilitated to travel. Most pets are much more relaxed for acupuncture treatments in the comfort of their own home.
Patients are expected to maintain a relationship with their regular veteriarian for lab testing, wellness care, preventative medicine and emergencies. I am happy to work alongside progressive veterinarians to help your pet live their best life.
